My name is Agnieszka Zabrodzka. I am a painter creating contemporary landscape paintings based in Warsaw, Poland. My greatest fascination lies in nature paintings, where the main role is played by the motif of a mirror reflection on the surface of a lake, pond, or river. In my work, I combine peaceful, aquatic spaces with a monumental, multi-layered forest. Flocks of cranes and luminous white deer regularly appear in my green landscapes, becoming an inseparable element of my art.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In nature, the water’s surface is an element constantly subject to change and transformation. The reflected nature, light, and seasons are always shifting. While creating canvas paintings, I try to capture this fleeting nature and freeze this restless element in time. My peaceful forest paintings are an arcadian vision of the world and a response to romantic longings. In my painting, the reflection in the water symbolizes contact with the past and the world of dreams, where there are no limits.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015, I graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland. Although I worked as an interior stylist at the beginning of my career (which still influences how my works harmonize as living room art or bedroom decor), art has always been my priority. My breakthrough came when my early forest landscapes exhibited at an art market immediately found buyers. That was the moment I believed in myself, and soon after, my contemporary paintings began to appear at prestigious auctions at DESA Unicum.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By painting dense tree paintings, I contrast the atavistic human fear of the dark with the joyful solace known from childhood. The luminous apparitions that appear\u2014white deer and cranes\u2014serve as mystical guardians of the wilderness, echoing ancient Slavic and Nordic beliefs.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I prefer to work in natural light, sitting directly on the floor of my studio. I then immerse myself in the sounds of my favorite podcasts or electronic music. My greatest desire is that everyone looking at my nature painting, regardless of whether they live in Poland, the USA, Australia, or Canada, finds within its depths their own private sanctuary of absolute tranquility.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, I want to invite you to the forest I have created, reflected in the mirror of the water.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
